gda architecture was established by Mike Godden in 2006 having worked with several local architectural practices around North Dorset where he gained invaluable experience working on listed buildings and period properties. Mike Godden has been designing buildings for a long time but still enjoys the challenges that every new project brings.

At gda architecture we design building solutions for both contemporary and period homes. An understanding that comes from an attention to detail ensures that we produce well designed bespoke buildings for our clients. Through a clear process of dialogue, collaborating and creating we deliver solutions that meet the aspirations, expectations and needs of our clients. Throughout this process, ideas are conceived, tested and communicated through sketches, drawings and 3D computer modelling.

FEASIBILITY Establish that the project requirements are achievable within the brief and constraints of budget and time.

PLANNING Develop the design proposals, explain the design thinking and submit for planning approval.

DESIGN Prepare drawings and information to submit for Building Regulation approval and in sufficient detail for a builder to price and build from.

CONSTRUCTIONDuring the construction phase visit the site regularly to make sure that the work is generally progressing in accordance with the drawings  and contract programme.

Our goal is to provide simple imaginative design solutions that both our clients and ourselves can be proud of.
